Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific today announces GT Trackday, an exclusive platform designed to give Porsche owners in the region a chance to develop their driving skills, better preparing them for the Porsche Sports Cup China.   Aimed at beginners on the race track, the new programme sits just above the Porsche Track Experience in the Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific pyramid. GT Trackday is aimed at drivers who have already completed the Porsche Track Experience, or an equivalent level of training and is open to GT road cars and GT race cars.   The first event is set for 15 October at the Shanghai International Circuit. Drivers can take on the track with half or full-day packages, which include pit usage, tyre changing services, technical support and Porsche hospitality. Additional optional services are also available, such as equipment rental and one-to-one tuition from a Porsche certified instructor.   Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific has a strong history of developing racing platforms, such as Porsche Carrera Cup Asia, Porsche Sprint Trophy Thailand and Porsche Sports Cup China, which is the level above the GT Trackday.   Sky Qiao, Vice President of Marketing, Porsche China: “Sports car culture is continuously developing in China, and we are always looking to offer our customers new platforms. GT Track Day serves as a new level in the Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific pyramid to support customers, such as those coming from the Porsche Experience Centre and Porsche Track Experience, take to the racetrack in a new way. Porsche is a brand driven by dreams and our customers are dreamers, so it is our belief that this new programme will help them to achieve their goals on the track.”   Alexandre Gibot, Managing Director Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific Ltd.: “Porsche GT Track Day is an exciting addition to the Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific pyramid. Our target is to enable access to motorsport, so this is a great platform for either GT road car customers or GT race car customers to drive on track. I’m really looking forward to the first event in Shanghai next month and hope the programme will inspire a new wave of Porsche racers.” Pole Limited,  Porsche VM , Porsche Carrera Cup Asia
