Antigo Area Community Food Pantry 11am-1pm Wednesdays & 1pm-3pm Fridays, 2120 Progress Blvd., Antigo (715) 623-1103. We ask that all individuals wishing to use the Food Pantry wait in cars, or outside and a volunteer will provide direction as to service. Our monthly donation focus for October will be holiday fixings: cranberry sauce, gravy, boxed stuffing, pineapple (in juice). For more information, go to AntigoFoodPantry.com or call (715) 623-1103. Elcho Area Community Food Pantry 2:30-4:30pm Mondays, 4-6pm Wednesdays, 11224 Antigo St., Elcho. Individuals will receive a checklist of food items and can indicate their selections then submit the list. Food will be distributed based on availability and # of family members. Note that the pantry is not open on holidays, or on days when the schools are closed because of snow. (715) 275-5010.

WOW Presents – “Life through the Lens” Fall Art Show September 18th – October 2nd (Sats. & Suns.) 11am-3pm WOWSPACE Gallery, 114 W. Vinal St., Wittenberg. We are excited to present a new fall show which will be an exhibition of photography. The 5 photographers who have been invited to participate in this unique show are all amazingly talented in their hobby. It will be a juried show, judged by a professional photographer, with each participant choosing 10 of his best to exhibit. The photographers are Roger Bloemers, Wausau; Brian P. Gutheinz, Bowler; Hans Schmitt, Birnamwood; Tom Walchesky, Howards Grove; and Brent Zeinert, Wittenberg.

Fall Healthy Ways Walk September 26th – October 3rd Springbrook Walking Trail, Antigo. Join in on a fun healthy ways walk! FREE and open to all ages. A GREAT FAMILY EVENT, at your own pace. Come anytime during the week and try your luck at fall trivia or bingo for the kids! Pick up a trivia and/or bingo card at the Hudson Street shelter. Geezer Bike Ride September 27th 10am Antigo Public Library, 617 Clermont St., Antigo. The Tuesday Geezer bike rides start from the Antigo Public Library parking lot, weather permitting.  All are welcome. The group normally rides less traveled town & county roads. The distance depends on how far the participants want to go. Sometimes the group splits up for those who want to go shorter distances and those who might like longer rides. We also try to include areas with interesting vegetation and wildlife. Bean Bag Tournament at Langlade County Senior Center September 27th 3pm Langlade County Senior Center, 904 5th Ave., Antigo. It will be the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month, 3–5pm. The fee for the tournament is $3 per person payable when you register at the Center. The tournament is open to members only. Cash prizes will be paid out the same day for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Teams will be formed by a random draw. If you haven’t played this game before and would like to practice, come in to the Center any Monday afternoon and practice. The duration of the tournament will be determined by the interest of the participants.

5th Ave Outdoor Makers Market September 30th 10am-6pm Corner of 5th Avenue & Edison Street, Antigo. It is free to set up for all artists, crafters, woodworkers, direct product sellers and others with handmade, homemade items. (No rummage). Call Rick Montgomery at 715-889-2409 with questions or to reserve a spot. Call by Wednesday to reserve 1 of the 15, 10×10 spots available for the Friday market. The market will run every Friday in September/October as long as weather permits. All buyers and sellers are welcome.

Marching Band Fall Showcase – Nightmare Before Christmas September 30th 6pm Schofield Stadium, Deleglise/Elm Street, Antigo. The showcase will include performances from the Antigo Community Band, Antigo High School Marching Band, Antigo Rose Parade Band and the Antigo High School Drumline. All Sauced Up food truck will have food to purchase. Desserts and refreshments are available for purchase from the AHS Band Boosters. There will also be raffles, a spectator march off and shoutouts. Donation admission. All funds raised go to support the Antigo High School band and band boosters.
