What better way to celebrate St. Patrick's Day weekend than with some Irish red ales?

We looked over a slew of tap lists from New London and Windham counties, and we've found what local breweries are serving up this weekend. This weekend's highlights include Bear Hands Brewing Company's 5.1% Pale Kellerbier "Drunken Leprechaun Rave," Tox Brewing Company's 5.8% Irish Red w/ Peppers "Fire Coral," Willimantic Brewing Company's 5.7% Red Ale "Fire Engine Red," and Black Pond Brews' 7% Double Irish Red Ale "Bloody Hell."

Check out the list below for some highlights from each brewery.

"Popular in Munich, Germany this Pale Kellerbier is a moderately malty Pils that showcases a cloudy appearance. Don’t let that fool you, it’s very light in body making it a pleasantly drinkable Bier."

Drunken Leprechaun Rave: 5.1% Irish Red Ale.

"Are you ready to party like a Leprechaun?! Our Irish Red Ale features a medium to light body, and boasts rich biscuity melanoidin flavor, backed up with soft roast and caramel undertones, ending with just a wee bit of bitter."

King DIPHA: 9.3% New England Double IPA.

"We all know the true king of all beers is the New England style DIPA, so why not say it like a true New Englander. Boasting a rich full body this high ABV Dipah is loaded with wicked crazy amounts of Citra, Amarillo, and Mosaic hops, imparting all of the sweet, notes tropical notes of a wicked good Dipah."

Holi, the Festival of Colors:What is it, and how do you celebrate?

Hella Smokin’: 5.5% Smoked Helles Lager.

Bloody Hell: 7% Double Irish Red Ale.

"Our flagship IPA featuring Citra, Cascade & CTZ hops."

Saved by the Belma: 8.5% Double New England IPA.

Black Pond Brews is located at 1001 Hartford Pike in Dayville.

BDubs American Pale Ale: 5.7% American Pale Ale.

" Your first impression of BDubs is a vibrant light-orange hue with a smooth white head. This visual presentation is enhanced with orange, mango, and earthy pine aromas. Overall, this light-bodied beer starts with a mild bitterness, assaults your palate with citrus and pine and finishes dry. BDubs is a beer named after a dog named after a beer named after a dog, talk about chasing a tale… Blackwell (Bdubs), was owners Jenny and Jason Vincent's long-loved dog. He was given the name of one of Jason's favorite beers: Blackwell Stout (New Haven Brewing), which was named after the brewery dog Blackwell. Legend has it, he was an ornery fella. Blackwell was their sweetest boy ever, for 14 years. RIP BDubs 5.20-2000 - 4.20.2014."

Finnegan Dealt It: 5.9% Irish Red Ale.

"This Irish red has a slight caramel and toffee notes in the aroma to compliment its hazy brown color. Tones of toffee and dark chocolate settle on the palette. Finnegan is named after a dog named H. (Huckleberry) Finnegan, owned by shareholders Jenny and Jason Vincent. Finn got his name from Jenny's favorite author. It'll be your huckleberry. Dealt it is an homage to our friends and family that work at either the Mohegan Sun or Foxwoods Resort casinos, located in our neighborhood."

Epicure Brewing is located at 40 Franklin St. in Norwich.

"A blend of farmhouse ales aged (on average) for two years in wine barrels. For Avalonia: Ruby, a portion was transferred atop a blend of Montmorency cherries, red raspberries, and red currants from Norse Farms. For folks that enjoyed Avalonia: Red, Ruby will be very familiar but the currants add a wonderful flourish with flavors reminiscent of cranberry or rhubarb and an impression of dryness that balances the intensity of the other fruits."

Local Flavor:'Everybody's family once they walk through the door.' Maria's Pizza Palace in Colchester

"We designed this new Pale Ale around two intriguing hops - Belma and Meridian. Both are relatively new (in general and to us) but seem to fit perfectly with our approach to hop-forward ales. The intersection between the two varieties lies in the realm of mixed berry qualities (strawberry, currant, concord grape). You’ll also find lemon zest, melon and just ripe peach on the complimentary side to round things out."

Fox Farm Brewery is located at 62 Music Vale Road in Salem.

"Brewed with Amarillo, Simcoe, and Centennial hops. An homage to our love for West Coast IPAs on the East Coast! Notes of pine, citrus, stone fruit & flora."

Dragon And Phoenix: 4.9% Lager w/ Blackberries.

"Brewed with Centennial and Strisselspalt hops. Light-bodied and crisp with pleasant notes of sweet ripe blackberries."

Sweetheart Tart: 4.8% Sour Ale w/ Fruit & Sweet Tarts

"Sour ale with Sweet Tarts candy. Fruited with lemons, key limes, tangerines, pineapples, cara cara oranges & cherries. Collaboration with our sweethearts at Alvarium Beer Co. (New Britain, CT)."

Outer Light Brewing Company is located at 266 Bridge St. in Groton.

Blonde Berry Ale: 5.5% Fruit Beer.

"A blonde ale, single-hopped with Cascade, infused with pure strawberry puree, and brewed with flaked oats for a fuller mouthfeel."

"Toasty, chocolaty and rich. A full bodied, big stout."

These Guys Brewing Company is located at 78 Franklin St. in Norwich.

Fire Coral: 5.8% Irish Red w/ Peppers.

"Fire Coral is our traditional Irish Red with a spicy twist. We loaded this once-per-year bad boy with over a pound per barrel of Habanero, Jalapeno and Poblano peppers. We first brewed this as a Kickstarter Collaboration and loved it so much we kept it in annual rotation!"

Wolfsbane “Irish Cream” or “Oatmeal Cookie’: 6.5% Oatmeal Stout.

"We took our Oatmeal Stout and and split it into 2 small batches. One dosed with Irish Cream and one Oatmeal Cookie."

Black Widow: 9.5% Imperial American Stout.

" Black Widow is our flagship imperial stout that achieves slightly less roast by balancing roasted barley and chocolate malt in harmony with a delicate balance of crystal malts and an array of other specialty dark malts. The result is thick, smooth and slightly sweet on the finish with a crisp bitterness. We taste spirit soaked dark chocolate, toasted almonds and lightly smoked plum raisins."
